Although both Sea Cadets and League Cadets do a lot of similar training and work within our same unit, there are some differences designed to be age appropriate based on physical and maturity differences among the differing ages.

 

Both young men and women are encouraged to join.  The corps is carefully regulated and monitored to ensure appropriate supervision, screening and training of adult leaders and staff.  We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment, substance abuse and require that all cadets, leaders and staff are of high moral character.

 

Adults - get back more than you give.  Working as an adult volunteer is very intense and requires a lot of commitment and dedication.  If you think you have what it takes to be part of the professional volunteers to work with these outstanding young women and men, use the Contact Us section to inquire with the commanding officer of the Harry S Truman Squadron.  Note that all adults leaders and staff will undergo extensive background and security checks through National Headquarters.
